Qashqai music
Qashqai music and culture are very different from those of other ethnicities. Music has had a specific place among Qashqai people and has always been important. It is played in different forms by different groups of people. Qashqai people have an internal relationship with their music and this miraculous music has always been helpful throughout their lives, especially during their hard activities due to their lifestyle. Qashqai music has always been the pillar of Qashqai life. It acted as a healer of the spirit in their mourning and soothed their affliction.

Anyone listening to Qashqai music realizes that it is sorrowful. By studying and investigating into various aspects of it, this inherent sorrowfulness can be related to the ups and downs of Qashqai people throughout history, an ethnicity which has been separated from its homeland for centuries and has been living without any concurrent ethnicity in the Fars Province. All these years have passed in loneliness. Constant decampment, following different wars, have added sorrowfulness and sadness to their local literature and music.
