The Endless Treasure of the Music of the Great Qashqai Tribe

Foroud Gorginpour was the brother of Farhad Gorginpour, the nephew of Mohammad Bahmanbeigi, and one of the famous musicians of the Qashqai tribe. His wife, Afsaneh Jahangiri, is a well-known Qashqai singer.

He began learning music from childhood by playing the accordion, and in 1963, to advance his work, he benefited from the classes of Noor-Ali Boroumand, Habibollah Badiei, Ali Tajvidi, and Ali-Asghar Bahari. He completed his music education at Tehran University in 1975, and in the same year, he started playing the Kamancheh (spiked fiddle) at the encouragement of Noor-Ali Boroumand.

His works include Turkmen Sahara, Hejran, Kouroghlu, and the Qashqai Music Collection.
